Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

  • Minimum age of 17 years as on 31 December of the admission year.
  • No upper age limit for NEET UG as per current NMC guidelines.
  • Unlimited attempts within eligibility norms.

Educational Qualification

  • Passed Class 12 (10+2) or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English.
  • General/EWS: minimum 50% aggregate in PCB.
  • SC/ST/OBC: minimum 40% aggregate in PCB.
  • General-PwD: minimum 45% aggregate in PCB.

Entrance / NEET Requirements

  • Must qualify NEET UG with category-wise minimum percentile.
  • General/EWS: 50th percentile (approx. 720–164 marks based on recent trends).
  • SC/ST/OBC: 40th percentile (approx. 163–129 marks).
  • PwD: 45th percentile (approx. 163–146 marks).

Seats are allotted based on NEET rank, category, quota, choices, and seat availability.

Document Verification

Upload/submit required documents online or at reporting centres as per counselling authority rules.

Counselling Process

AIQ Counselling (MCC)

Conducted by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) at mcc.nic.in for 15% All India Quota seats in government medical colleges, all AIIMS, JIPMER, ESIC, central universities, and related institutes. Open to candidates from any state.

State Counselling

Conducted by respective state authorities (e.g., KEA Karnataka, CET Cell Maharashtra, DGME UP) for 85% state quota seats. Usually requires state domicile as per state rules.

Deemed University Counselling

100% seats in deemed universities are filled through MCC counselling. Includes management and NRI quotas with higher fee structures.
